Endless Opportunities
It’s not enough to be trained in your field. You need real experience.
At the Lundquist College of Business, you’ll gain hands-on experience managing more than $1 million in real dollars through our UO Investment Group or by working directly with companies as a member of our student-run Oregon Consulting Group. And that’s just the beginning. From internships to class projects, study abroad, and more, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to explore career paths and build your resume.
Centers of Excellence
At the heart of the Lundquist College of Business's vision and mission are our four centers of excellence. Immersed in the college's "learning by doing" approach to business education, the centers set us apart and help advance the work of our talented research-productive faculty members.
Travel and Site Visits
At the Lundquist College of Business, we prepare our students to thrive in the world of global business. We offer several site visit and travel opportunities both locally and abroad to let students experience the culture, history, and politics of other economies.
Students tour companies and factories, participate in marketing events, attend lectures given by executives at leading firms, and network with top executives.

Connor Bussey ’19
“The UO gave us an opportunity to start groups and network in an environment where it’s easier to connect because people want to help you on your career journey.”
Student Clubs and Organizations
The college actively supports and encourages student participation in clubs as a vital component of the college experience. Not only do clubs give students an opportunity to interact and learn from peers, but they also provide the opportunity to bring together and apply lessons learned from various courses in a hands-on setting. Club activities include everything from organizing events, seminars, fundraising for local nonprofits, guest speakers, field trips, site visits, and career development workshops to networking and managing real stock portfolios.
Guest Speakers and Executives
Hundreds of business leaders come to the UO campus every year to share their insights with students in workshops and lectures, via a guest speaker series, or as part of executive-in-residence programs. Students in both our Eugene and Portland programs benefit from these experiences as well as make important connections with business leaders and industry professionals.
